Hi Rebecca

water quality and quality

for water to sustain human health, two conditions are necessary:the water must be clean, and there must be an adequate supply, dirty water has microbial contaminants and chemichal contaminants,Microbial contaminants can take several forms Salmonella typhi(the cause of typhus),Vibriocholera(the cause of cholera), Escherichia coli, Campylobacter jejuni and various species of shigella, Over half of americans recieve their drinking water from surface water sources and the remainder depends on ground water,,

Thanks Abe

I agree with your two conditions. It is also really insightful of you to point out the specific microbes that are responsible for contaminating our water supply. How well do we REALLY know that these microorganisms are being kept clear of our surface and ground water?
