Our class reviewed the process of cell respiration and decomposition using some formative assessment probes. Before examining the molecules in cells, we will conduct a quick review of the most fundamental molecule in all life forms.
Our review question of the day is: What do we know about carbon and its role in the universe?
Students will include an original sketch of the carbon cycle in their science notebooks.
Students will complete the following Webquest on the carbon cycle.
Extension Activity: Review the concepts of diffusion and osmosis. What happens when other molecules besides carbon move in and out of the cell membrane?
What are the concentration of ions in the human body, i.e. Na, Cl, and K?
