Searching the Internet for resources that students can use to learn about diseases:
We uncovered Fact Sheets at the CDC for cryptosporidum (http://www.cdc.gov/crypto/),
as well as an alphabetical listing of diseases at http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dpd/parasites/index.htm
Students will be researching information about Campylobacter pylori, Vibrio cholerae, Salmonella typhi, E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Cryptospodium spp. Giardia lamblia, Toxoplasma gondii for unicellular parasites.
Students will be researching information about Helminthes, Nematoda, Whipworms, Platyhelminthes, Cestodes, Protozoa, Flagellates, Amoebae, Cilliates, Trematodes, and Sporozoans for multicelluar parasites.
As we uncover more resources, I will post them below. Feel free to recommend any sites you have used that are helpful.
