
Plant Science of Gardening and Greenhouse Construction Materials
Our class is sprouting seeds to investigate the flow of carbon and the flow of energy from producers to consumers. They are designing their own experiments to test the mass of seedlings and growth conditions affecting plants. Their data tables are following a template that looks like this:

We are learning that good data does not mean "correct answers." Good data means carefully collected, recorded, with notes on unexpected occurrences (like a burned out light bulb, or an incubator that shuts off accidentally) and deviations from intended procedures (such as having to cut an experiment short because of time).
