
Today is the last Sunday leading up to Earth Day. I wanted to look at ways that we can celebrate Earth Day with students at our school, and develop their awareness of the environmental issues facing our world.
One of the most significant issues is the status of species who are endangered. . . The picture above is supposedly the last wild-born Alala bird, or Hawaiian raven, in the world. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service has awarded over $15 million dollars to conserve this particular species recently. .
